How to Coupon

Coupons are a GREAT tool for saving even more money. I started using coupons a little over a year ago and it has helped me build up my food storage and bargain shop better. The first thing to know is where to look for them.

Print ads:

  • Newspapers
  • Magazines
  • In-Store

Ask neighbors and friends if you can have their Sunday inserts for even more.

  On line:

These are my Top Three coupon websites. They are easy and updated frequently. Remember to read the fine print. Sometimes you can use two coupons on one item. Always watch for expiration dates and the size of product applicable.
Price matching + Coupons = Real Savings.

Pitfalls of Coupons:

1. Overspending to get a “deal”.

2. Buying items that will not be used before they expire, because you have  coupon.

3. Buying an item you wouldn’t normally use because of a coupon. Don’t let coupons tell you what to buy.

4. Just because you have a coupon doesn’t mean its a good deal.

5. Spending hours and hours clipping coupons. Let’s all stay balanced and not obsess in any once area of our lives, deal?
