White & Red Valentines Party

This year for Valentines Day I decided to decorate my home with a theme: Black and gold glam!!! (Insert Jazz hands!) Of course, I had to see what I already had on had to use, so I went out to the garage and grabbed my Valentines tub. I kid you not, as soon as I cracked open the lid a beam of redness shot out of it like the rainbow on the lucky charms box. Red, red and more red. Basically I’m going to need to start from scratch if I want to go black, gold and glam for a Valentines tablescape. So in the meantime, I wanted to set up a little party using all of the red and white love stuff that I had on hand.

It worked out really well to add something long and thin, I was able to fit in way more than if I would’ve used a rectangular platter (like I usually do.)Screen Shot 2015-01-11 at 1.51.56 PMBy adding different layers of height and dimension, I was able to make a little look like a lot. I was also able to add lots of height on the sides by adding my topiaries, to make them fit in I staggered red wooden rosebuds all up in there. And of course I was singing “painting the roses red” the whole time, because I love Alice in Wonderland!Screen Shot 2015-01-11 at 1.50.35 PM Screen Shot 2015-01-11 at 1.45.51 PM Screen Shot 2015-01-11 at 1.44.49 PMScreen Shot 2015-01-11 at 1.49.43 PMThis Valentines spread was so fun and festive. Heres hoping I figure out something a little less red for next year!
