How to Arrange Fresh Flowers

Screen Shot 2015-02-03 at 10.02.27 PMI will make any excuse to work with fresh blooms, this time its for a Valentines brunch (post coming soon.) Fresh flowers make me seriously happy, especially in the winter time. Am I right or what? I’m not even that picky on the color or style (unless they are daisies, I really don’t like any kind of daisy) as I was saying, flowers totally brighten up every room. Have you ever noticed how all of the fanciest places have fresh blooms? Its so fancy! Join me in adding them into our kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. I might have gone too far on that last one…Screen Shot 2015-02-03 at 10.02.06 PM

For these bouquets I used pink roses, white (green) hydrangeas and waxflower, all from costco! I’m telling you you can’t beat the price and quality! Just look at those babies!Screen Shot 2015-02-03 at 10.02.44 PMTo start, I used some left over Christmas beads as a vase filler and filled them 3/4 full with water. Then I cut and layered little trimmings of waxflower on the outer edges.Screen Shot 2015-02-03 at 10.03.28 PM I then trimmed down the hydrangeas and placed them on top. Make sure you are measuring before you cut, its really hard to fix flowers that have been cut too short.Screen Shot 2015-02-03 at 10.03.41 PMI then filled them in with more wax flower trimmings and layered in the roses. Then finished by filling in any holes. Stunning!Screen Shot 2015-02-03 at 10.04.32 PMScreen Shot 2015-02-03 at 10.11.29 PMNow the table is ready for a lovely Valentines brunch!
