I have a Dream

Have you ever dreamt about doing something or maybe you just wanted to be awesome and as fast as you thought up the idea, you talked yourself out of it? So this is me: I have ALWAYS wanted to do a fashion segment on my blog where I get to prance around in cute outfits and feel amazing and beautiful. But I’ve never gotten around to doing it because I have been waiting for everything to be “perfect.” The perfect time of year, the perfect budget, the perfect weight and pant size. After some LOTS of therapy, committing myself to doing by best everyday (even if that means that getting out of bed was an accomplishment) and deep soul searching, I’ve finally decided that I’m ready to OWN my life. I’m owning it REGARDLESS of my weight and pant size and any other excuses that were holding me down. So heres me owning it, er… learning how to own it.

If I’m being totally honest, this by far one of the MOST awkward things I’ve ever done! Try to bend your front leg, and keep your back leg straight. Then stick your chest out and relax your shoulders while pushing your neck out and keeping your chin down. Wowza, I tip my hat to any models out there because it is SO HARD to stand in those awkward positions and try to make it look good. I will also give MAJOR props to my photographer Diana Putnam, she is a magical wizard and was so wonderful and encouraging to work with. And a standing ovation to Jacque from LooksforLovlies.com for styling the entire outfit and the masterful tips on how to be a hot model (I’m still learning, okay?!) I’m certain the more we work together the better these things will be. Yes, thats what I’ll tell myself.
