I LIVE for Thanksgiving! For me, its all about the food, presentation and atmosphere. I feel truly blessed to be surrounded by wonderful friends and family (even those who weren’t here) and for the helping hands of everyone who made yesterday a beautiful and memorable day.
The tablescape was a “Woodland meets Copper” theme and it was a collaboration of decor efforts by my mom and I. I think it turned out beautifully and love that I was able to do it with my mom. For time sake and wanting to spend time with family, I’ll post what we had on the menu. If you’d like a recipe for a certain something, comment below and I’d be happy to get the link for you!
Buttermilk braised turkey, served with fresh sage, thyme, rosemary and tangerine slices.
Honey spiced ham with pineapple and cherry garnish.
Cranberry sauce
Garlic and butter mashed potatoes
Jimmy Dean sausage cornbread stuffing
Sweet potato casserole with brown sugar pecan crumble
Bacon and cranberry stuffing
Black olives
Lion House rolls
Raspberry honey-butter
Glazed Pears with nutmeg and cinnamon
Pecan Pie
Boysenberry pie
And now my gift to you this turkey carving season… If you want to get the most out of carving your turkey check out how my husband did it. Move the bird to a carving board, and slice of each entire breast, one side at a time. Slice the whole breast (going with the grain) and set onto a serving platter. Repeat on other side.
Amazing right?! I hope each of you had an amazing Thanksgiving and that you had a memorable day. I want each of you to know how grateful I am for your continued love and support! Xo, Chelsey
