I actually took these pictures back in August to celebrate being able to squeeze back into a pair of pre-baby jeans. There is something really special about the sense of accomplishment from losing weight. I’m not sure if its the renewed sense of confidence you have in yourself or simply knowing that you are the only one who can lose weight for yourself and you did it. It would be way nice if someone else could do it for you though… Right?
It used to be such an overwhelming thought for me, so overwhelming that I wouldn’t do anything. It seemed so daunting, and that number was too big and too far away to seem attainable or even possible. Its those seemingly small, daily actions that are going to make the biggest difference over time. If you eat a salad for dinner will you wake up with a six pack tomorrow? No, of course not. But if you ate more salads over the next six months you might be a lot closer! I’m standing (sitting) here 50 pounds lighter to tell you that you CAN do it! But you have to make the changes for and only for yourself! No one else is going to be enough of a reason to treat yourself the way you deserve than YOU!
P.S. As unrealistic as this kid-free “coming home from the grocery store” photoshoot was, it sure was fun.
