Now that I have a busy toddler running around (and I’m getting two people ready before heading out), I don’t have the luxury of extra time to primp and mess around with my makeup. Most days, I barely have time to wear make up at all, thankfully I do have eyelash extentions. Occasionally I’ll have a girls night out or a hot date with the Mr, so I’ve been working on quick makeup applications to do in 10 minutes or less.

Now, if makeup is something thats new for you ( in general or you’re new to doing it on the fly) this tutorial is for you. Please keep in mind: It may take a little longer than 10 minutes until you get faster with your technique, but practice makes perfect.

Okay, this is my general every day makeup look. I am wearing foundation, concealer, blush, eyelash extensions, liquid eyeliner and the lightest color on the NEUTROGENA Nourishing Long Wear Eye Shadow + Built-In Primer Soft Taupe palette. I love this eyeshadow because it doesn’t crease and the color lasts up to 12 hours. REMEMBER: The trick to professional looking makeup is to blend, blend, blend! Now, lets go over how to take this light daytime into a smokey-eyed evening look.Screen Shot 2015-12-20 at 2.51.29 PMStep 1: Make sure to clip your hair back so it won’t get in your way while you’re working. Screen Shot 2015-12-20 at 2.54.10 PMStep 2: Using the light taupe color, apply onto the crease of your eyelid. Keep in mind while blending back-and-forth, not to go past your eyeliner (corner of your eye) line.Screen Shot 2015-12-20 at 2.51.59 PMScreen Shot 2015-12-20 at 2.56.16 PMStep 3: Use an angled brush and the darkest eyeshadow color and blend the eyeshadow from the outer corner of your eye toward the middle of your eyelid. To make your eyes stand out even more, apply slightly above the crease of your eye (where your eyelashes would hit when your eyes are open). Blend the colors together repeating on both sides until they look as uniform as possible.Screen Shot 2015-12-20 at 2.52.25 PMScreen Shot 2015-12-20 at 2.57.29 PM

Apply the same color underneath the lower lashes to make you’re eyes look bigger and a little smokey.

Did you notice how this lip color really finished the look? P.S. This is the BEST smelling lips stick I’ve ever used, its got Mango and Shea butter that condition your lips so they are softer and smoother in just 3 days (even without anything on them). Screen Shot 2015-12-20 at 3.01.59 PMPut on your fancy jewelry and you’re ready for a babysitter and a your husband’s holiday party!Screen Shot 2015-12-20 at 3.02.43 PMI love that NEUTROGENA products also help keep my skin healthy while accentuating my best features. No matter what your coloring, the Soft Taupe palette will make your eyes pop. Make sure to stop by the Health & Beauty section of your local Walmart or on the NEUTROGENA site so you can re-create this look.  What are your favorite  NEUTROGENA products?Screen Shot 2015-12-20 at 7.21.56 PM
