Veggie Lisa and I are back at it again this beautiful Monday morning with her easy Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal recipe. This recipe is a perfect (and very filling) way to start your day, especially if you workout first thing. In the past I’d grab an apple or banana on my way to the gym, it totally wasn’t enough and I would burn out really quickly. Now I have oatmeal and my favorite protein shake and I have the energy to push hard my entire workout. So lets stick with our fitness plan and skip the sugary oatmeal packets and added brown sugar so we can care for our bodies LOVE what we put in them.
5 Minute Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
INGREDIENTS:
- ½ c rolled oats
- ¼ apple diced (leave skin on)
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 TBSP almond butter
- 1 tsp honey or agave
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Boil one cup of water in saucepan
- Add oats and apples
- Allow to cook until all the moisture is gone and oats are done
- Remove from heat and add honey, cinnamon and almond butter.
- Eat immediately
