Black, Red and Denim

Screen Shot 2016-02-17 at 12.20.15 AMNormally, I have a VERY hard time wearing red. Now that I think about it, I do feel like its too much red on red, with my auburn/red hair, my red skin tone. The one time I make it a point to wear red is in February. Something about Valentines Day, mixed with all of the love in the air…

Ahhhh red, the color of love.

But enough about the red, I wanted to share some BIG news and updates about my weight-loss journey, more of a milestone really. Drum roll please… These pants that I am wearing in these photos are a size 8! The last time I fit into a size 8,was when I got married 7 and a half years ago. The funny thing is, I weighed 15 pounds less back then but still wore a size 8. I remember feeling so insecure and unhappy with my body and weight when I got married. I felt depressed that I didn’t push harder, eat less or do more juice fasts before the wedding to look “skinnier”. Who else looks back at their wedding photos and sees a crazy person, a beautiful psychopath for ever having thoughts like that?

Honestly I am so proud of myself of how strong I am. You guys, I can do 30 man push-ups (in a row), I could barely do any girly push-ups 7 years ago! Today I believe in being strong, not skinny. Those 15 pounds extra are all muscle baby, it really does weigh more than fat! So here’s to everyone out there who is trying so hard everyday, to eat better, to exercise regularly to love yourself (past and present) and who plan to keep these good habits up for the rest of our lives! I love this journey, thank you for joining me on mine! Xo
