But truth be told, I love using NESTLÉ® COFFEE-MATE® Liquid Coffee Creamer in recipes and as a flavor additive for coffee substitute, hot chocolate or milkshakes. Its really good, and so much flavor can be added to drinks and baked goods from just one bottle! In an effort to do something different than the typical girls night out, I decided to throw a little “Milkshakes and Old Movies” girls night in, A: Because we just finished our basement (YAY!) and B: To try the newest flavors from the NESTLÉ® COFFEE-MATE® Chocolate Boutique that I found at Walmart. You will die, when you try one of these milkshakes (look for the recipe below), and they are so easy to make!

Because I regularly have/go to girls nights, I thought it would be nice to have a basket for each of the ladies to take home for their sweethearts, plus it would be a fun activity to do at the party. I set up a cute “Date Night” basket-making station, for each of the ladies to recreate this fun party at their home. Going with the black and white movie theme, I asked my guests to wear black and white patterns (and of course they are the best, and went above and beyond to humor me). I still can’t believe how perfect we all look, considering no one coordinated clothing beforehand. Okay, let me take you through each step, so you can take your favorite ideas and recreate this party in your home.

Because the party was setup in the basement (no kitchen), I had the milkshake making start upstairs in the kitchen. We were able to play around with flavors and garnishes, and come up with some very yummy combinations. The indulgent flavors from the new Chocolate Boutique collection were the perfect flavor profiles for my create-your-own milkshakes station, because of how dynamic the flavors were in each bottle. It would have taken a lot more ingredients to create similar flavors without the COFFEE-MATE® . Out of the three flavors (NESTLÉ® COFFEE-MATE® Liquid Coffee Creamer in Salted Caramel, Creamer Toffee and Café Mocha) my favorite was: Salted Caramel. Honestly every flavor I tasted was amazing, and I will definately be indulging in the other flavors to make my hot and cold beverages a decadent treat. Screen Shot 2016-03-07 at 7.39.30 PMNESTLÉ® COFFEE-MATE® Liquid Coffee Creamer Chocolate Boutique Milkshakes

Watching Old Movies

We started out by watching an old movie, then ten minutes in we were just talking about everything but… go figure. But it did make for great background noise for us to enjoy the party, eat some treats and start making our date night baskets.Screen Shot 2016-03-07 at 7.40.59 PM

Black and White Party

Initially, the plan was to have only black and white as the theme for this party, but then I went inside the craft store and felt compelled to buy all of their beautiful and bright spring blooms. So black, white and bright became the new theme, which is quite alright because it ended up a bit more cheery with a pop of color.

What’s a party without an activity? For these create your own date-night in baskets, I wanted to send my guests with the main staples to recreate everything at home plus a few treats. The contents included everything needed to create the milkshakes from above, their choice of NESTLÉ® COFFEE-MATE® Liquid Coffee Creamer, clear plastic cups, cute paper straws, rainbow sprinkles, an ice-cream scoop, popcorn, chocolate candies and a printout (FREE printable here) of 20 questions to ask your partner. We wrapped them in cellophane and they turned out to be the biggest hit of the whole night.Screen Shot 2016-03-07 at 7.40.24 PM Screen Shot 2016-03-07 at 7.41.20 PMScreen Shot 2016-03-07 at 7.42.08 PMScreen Shot 2016-03-07 at 7.41.47 PM Screen Shot 2016-03-07 at 7.41.57 PMDo you ever have those moments when things turned out better than how you planned it in your mind? 1. How fun!! I love the black and white theme, and you have some amazing friends who wore the theme so nicely! Love the twist that you put on the milkshake and cakes by adding Coffee-Mate creamer! Sweet! #client

  2. My mom always has a bottle of flavored coffee creamer in the fridge, despite not drinking coffee. We have used it in so many ways over the years, but I would never have thought of making cupcakes with it! Love the idea of hosting a girls night in and sending goodies home so the boys don’t feel left out.
